As I was preparing to write this review I was reading through other reviews to see if my experience was unique … it wasn’t. ENVIRONMENT (2 out of 5): we visited late July for dinner. From the moment we walked in we realized we should have brought our own fans. There were only 2 fans on the one side of the sitting area and nothing anywhere else. When we brought this to their attention they dismissed it, doing nothing about it. MUSIC/Dancing (5 out of 5): the two man band was amazingly patient with all our requests and excitement and in the 3 hours we were there they did not take a single break. The dancers were also very entertaining and involved the audience in a very fun experience. SERVICE (4 out of 5): the serving staff were fairly prompt to our requests as long as we abided by their fixed and rigid menu. FOOD/DRINK (2 out of 5): the food was OK and considering the restaurant is designed for high tourist volume it was what we expected with nothing fancy - almost like fast food. Drinks on the other hand were a total disappointment. It was included in the price so we got terrible white and red wine but in abundance. When we asked for Whiskey and told them we would pay for it they said they only have these 2 wines. Finally we convinced them to bring some ouzo, which though you should drink with lots of ice, the glass had only 2...
Read moreSimple the best says Tina Turner. The tavern is similar to this frame. Simple inside simple outside but the dishes and the music and the show is the best. I travelled already a lot of Island and the mainland of Greece but never experienced so delicious meals anywhere. Lamb, veal and even the last green salad or fruit selected just from the best pieces/ingredients. The price 25€ per person is maybe a bit high in the island but ridiculously cheep compared to any restaurant in Europe. I think they match with this amount to most of the people. The all you can eat includes about 10 starters 6 main dishes 2 desserts and 7 fruits. I'm over 100kgs but cannot fight myself to the end. The entertainment also amazing. If I have to say something negative the only thing was that we've been with kid and they got no highchair for small kids. But honestly my kid was rather dancing to the music between...
Read moreWe went there as a holiday group and we were treated like we were an atm. We paid €42 fixed price for a few starters and a mediocre wine. The staff was very rude, two of us asked for desserts offering to pay them out of the fixed menu and we were rudely shouted at in Greek from the owner (we understood that he said we could go buy them at the mini market). One of us had severe food allergies that the staff was aware of since a month, since we booked much in advance, and they left her without a meal for one hour scolding her for “not finding anything she liked in what they were offering”. Awful experience, we were all unsatisfied in every way and very offended by their horrible manners. Last but not least, the place was unbearably hot, loud and uncomfortable....
