A Kitchen Nightmare, quite Literally! We arrived at 13:40 with a group of five, including two elderly individuals. Our order was placed at 14:25, but not without a fair share of complaints. It took a full 30 minutes after that and a heated exchange with the staff for some of our food to finally make its way to our table.
To our dismay, at 3:00, we were informed that the giouvetsi that my father-in-law had ordered was no longer available. Additionally, one main course and two appetizers were omitted from our order, but they certainly didn't forget to include them on our bill. This marked my very first visit to the establishment, and it will undoubtedly be my last. While I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt, attributing our experience to an unforeseen situation, I'm rather skeptical. In fact, the neighboring tables around us seemed to be enduring a similarly harrowing dining experience, with some patrons having to raise their voices to grab the staff's attention. The food was a mixed bag, with my kokkinisto veal being quite decent, while other dishes were rather mediocre. If you're inclined to sample their fare, I'd recommend opting for delivery. However, I strongly advise steering clear on busy days, as the hassle and frustration are simply...
Read moreWe had booked with my family a table 1 week earlier for 25th of March day. We reached the place on time as agreed with them. We were waiting for 45-50 min the waiter for taking an order and then 25min for first appetites to come. On top among the tables there were queues of people standing up waiting for take away food. And we could literally breathe or be able to hear each other with so many people around us. The noise was awful and definitely a very unpleasant experience. Only 1 waiter for taking orders and 3 support waiters serving the first drinks and waiting the 1 person to fulfill the order is not an optimal operational model when the restaurant is fully booked. I thought for a traditional restaurant with yrs of experience like this that would be common sense. Even though being client for years there, appreciating the food quality and taste of this restaurant , the customer service I experienced that day was awful and will never drive me...
Read moreOK I was hoping this place would be my secret but since the cat is out the bag, I can tell you about it. If you want real food, as close to home made as possible, this is it. The classic Greek Taverna. Simple and unpretentious, the typical neighborhood place to eat down to earth delicious Greek food. Grilled meats, pot cooked, pittas, everything is A+. They have a printed menu but the propriertor is coming to take your order telling you what is still available at the kitchen depending on the hour of the day. Did I mention that they are open only for lunch? On Saturdays and Sundays you might find people outside waiting for a table, so on those days go early, before 14:00 more like 13:30. Mondays closed. And please keep it quiet, we don't want everyone and his uncle...
