Good service, lovely view, fantastic location, high pricing, and some memorably appalling food.
Mealy, mushy, tasteless tomatoes made for the most unpalatable Greek salad out of hundreds we’ve tried over the years in Greece. Inexcusable during the height of the summer. The “shrimp saganaki no. 4” was so thoroughly mediocre that I dread to think what versions 1-3 must have tasted like.
The real kicker was the brutal dose of food poisoning served to the one member of our group who had the bad fortune to eat the single, deceptively beautiful scallop that adorned the saganaki. That scallop was the only food item that whole day that we didn’t share.

We traveled with a group of friends and tried different meals, all of which we liked. The prices are reasonable. The staff is kind, and the service is at a normal speed. There are a few sunbeds and parasols in front of the restaurant; if you drink or eat, you don't need to pay for them. Finding a spot after noon can be hard. Read moreThe last two weeks I stayed with my dear old mother at Samos and nearby there was this little taverna in the bay of Kerveli. I remembered them when I was there five years ago and still the food and ambiance is great and very friendly priced. My mom and I had our dinners most of the nights at Charivgi because of that. I’m gonna miss the thoughtful and relaxed serving and the loud laughter of the woman cook, she is funny and prepares the most tasteful dishes.
