Café Montagu – A Hidden Gem in Athens

This place is a rare find—nestled in the Korai arcade, with small indoor space and garden, it seriously serves some of the best coffee in the city. Bear in mind that in the summer if there is no breeze there is a chance it may be a bit warm.

Let’s start with the barista—hands down, the best in Athens. You can taste the love and precision in every cup. I had a cappuccino and it was next-level. Perfectly balanced, creamy, smooth—everything a cappuccino should be but rarely is.

And the food? Just wow. I had a sandwich on fresh focaccia with caramelized onions, chèvre, and rocket. It was absolutely fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully put together. The kind of sandwich that makes you slow down and savor every bite.

Whether you’re a coffee lover or just looking for a cozy spot with quality food and warm vibes, Café Montagu should be at the top of your list. I’ll definitely be back...
