Easily my favourite taverna so far in my stay in Crete...I just walked around the coast and hills from Trafos and was greeted with the friendliest smile and welcome..and the coldest glass of beer you will find. And just to top it off...the food you see in the photo all came with my order of just 1 beer (mezedes I believe?) And this food is cooked fresh...absolutely delicious...and extremely vege and vegan friendly.
Update: after 10 days staying nearby and coming almost every day, I can assure you this is the most delicious and healthy food ever. Locally sourced produce cooked fresh every day with the most welcome and happiest of smiles. Much love to Antonia, her mother (the chef) and all of the team at karampinis. Owners junger one and still junger one were super nice, friendly and welcoming. They look and feel like they are enjoying everthing about their little tavern. Probably when they saw me how much I enjoy their food, they also brought me another starter dish to test. It looked simple. Read moreI had dinner with my family here for two nights at this cozy and peaceful restaurant, which really feels like a little oasis of relax. The two owners welcomed us and made us feel right at home. We enjoyed some amazing fresh fish and other very good typical Greek dishes (even a simple green salad was prepared with such care).
