I visited "Sea Sense" restaurant on August 15 2020, a party of two people. Me and my friend had already visited "Sense" restaurant in Athens several months ago so we knew what the executive chef Alexandros Haralambopoulos and his team can do and we were not let down. The restaurant is located within the Anemi hotel, the only 5-star hotel in Folegandros, thus raising immediately the bar. We were welcomed with their homemade bread along with olive oil, orange cured olives- a wonderful idea!. We ordered: 1) Traditional assortment of spreads: Fava beans, Taramosalata and Tzatziki. Very tasty and fresh. I would prefer the tzatziki to be stronger but I presume not everyone likes a strong garlic flavour 2) Mixed leaf salad: the pairing of hazelnuts and pears on this salad worked like a charm! 3) Chickpeas: Very nice as well and well cooked 4) Roasted octopus with potato salad: once again superb ingredients cooked to perfection 5) Fish of the day fillet: The ultimate star of the show! Cooked to perfection with an exceptional sauce and seasonal greens 6) Lamb and "Florina" sweet pepper: I am not a big fan of lamb, but my friend insisted we ordered it. I was very positively surprised. The lamb was tender and tasty. What I really enjoyed was the Florina sweet pepper accompanying the dish! Wow! 7) Desserts: Chocolate creme with coffee and vanilla ice cream and semifreddo "tsoureki". Both were delicious. A tip was to maybe let the semifreddo raise some temperature before serving it. The staff was attentive and professional. Overall a nice and must-...
Read moreVery expensive for a poor quality that absolutely not matches the five-stars standard that the hotel pretends to be. Very few customers, no creativity and taste quite common. Anemi restaurant in Athens has a much better reputation and this is really not the case here. For the ones who would like a gourmet luxury food we recommend Anemomilos restaurant in Chora that offers in addition a beautiful view especially during the sunset, which is not the case of the Anemi hotel that has a poor view on the port and is located closed to a the main road with...

Good wine list, including a very good wine made by a local winery that includes grapes grown on a small parcel of land right here at Anemi. Food has been consistently good since our last visit in 2018. Probably the best food on...
