We went to have dinner at about 7.30 pm and it appeared that everyone else had made the same decision too. All tables filled up in minutes and the staff was incredibly busy, running.
I tried to order goat, finished. Stuffed peppers, finished. The waiter suggested pastitsio which I chose to keep things simple. I also ordered a carrot and cabbage salad on side since pastitsio portion had no greens.
We got an enourmous amount of grated cabbage with some grated carrot on top, plus 4 olives. In a reasonable time, my husband got his pork souvlaki and after a long wait I got my pastitsio. It was fridge cold inside so I ate only the warmer edges while the staff kept running around us, trying to keep things going.
The 4 stars for service comes from serious trying. They worked really hard, and no one was rude or grumpy. Otherwise I was somewhat disappointed. Maybe we just had bad luck, but based on this experience,...

We ordered a greek salad (a dish that Greece is obviosuly known for) and we got salad without cucumber but with "already chewed" bread (probably by Manolo himself)*. It was truly an extraordinary approach but unfortunately not the best experience for one's tastebuds. Anyways, I asked the waiter about home made chips. "Yes, we do it ourselves" he said. In the end we got the bill and as you can see the individual prices did not equal to the sum :))) On the bright side, the OUZO was great!!! Tip for you: avoid this place! Tip for owner: work harder and cook better! *Appendix 1. I was informed in another restaurant that salad with bread is...
Read moreWe visited 2 times Manola tavern during our visit to Pserimos, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the service was incredibly warm and welcoming — the staff truly made us feel like family.
The food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish was prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you could taste the care and tradition in every bite. Whether it was the grilled seafood, fresh salads, or traditional Greek specialties, everything exceeded our expectations.
What impressed us even more was how reasonably priced everything was, especially considering the quality. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance between authenticity, flavor, service, and value — but this place nailed it.
If you’re visiting Pserimos, do not miss this tavern. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back before...
