We went to have dinner at about 7.30 pm and it appeared that everyone else had made the same decision too. All tables filled up in minutes and the staff was incredibly busy, running.

I tried to order goat, finished. Stuffed peppers, finished. The waiter suggested pastitsio which I chose to keep things simple. I also ordered a carrot and cabbage salad on side since pastitsio portion had no greens.

We got an enourmous amount of grated cabbage with some grated carrot on top, plus 4 olives. In a reasonable time, my husband got his pork souvlaki and after a long wait I got my pastitsio. It was fridge cold inside so I ate only the warmer edges while the staff kept running around us, trying to keep things going.

The 4 stars for service comes from serious trying. They worked really hard, and no one was rude or grumpy. Otherwise I was somewhat disappointed. Maybe we just had bad luck, but based on this experience,...

If you are looking for an adventure or you treat your stomach like lab rat this place is exactly for you. We ordered a greek salad (a dish that Greece is obviosuly known for) and we got salad without cucumber but with "already chewed" bread (probably by Manolo himself)*. It was truly an extraordinary approach but unfortunately not the best experience for one's tastebuds. Anyways, I asked the waiter about home made chips. "Yes, we do it ourselves" he said. Hmmmm, they really cooked chips ...from the store ;) Apart from that, I must admit that the goat meat was good -just good. In the end we got the bill and as you can see the individual prices did not equal to the sum :))) On the bright side, the OUZO was great!!! Tip for you: avoid this place! Tip for owner: work harder and cook better! *Appendix 1. I was informed in another restaurant that salad with bread is...

We visited 2 times Manola tavern during our visit to Pserimos, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the service was incredibly warm and welcoming — the staff truly made us feel like family.

The food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish was prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you could taste the care and tradition in every bite. Whether it was the grilled seafood, fresh salads, or traditional Greek specialties, everything exceeded our expectations.

What impressed us even more was how reasonably priced everything was, especially considering the quality. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance between authenticity, flavor, service, and value — but this place nailed it.

If you’re visiting Pserimos, do not miss this tavern. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back before...

If you're seeking luxury, this place might not be for you. This place has other advantages - a unique blend of history, a welcoming family atmosphere, and authentic Greek cuisine. The tavern was built by Manola (the big Manol) many years ago, and now it's run by his grandson Yorgo. Don't forget to inquire about their signature dish of cooked goat with potatoes. Additionally, you should try their homemade goat's cheese in fresh milk. If you're a seafood lover, I recommend the fresh squid - it's incredibly tasty. Just a heads up, the portions here are quite generous.

A meal to remember! The owner/chef/grandson of Manola was a friendly, proud Greek. He told us about the specials and we were eager to try the (homegrown wild) goat for lunch. He wanted us to first try his homemade cheese alongside his homemade olive oil, So he brought some out along with warm rolls. It was absolutely delicious and would have been sufficient for lunch... but then the goat came out and that was amazing. Seasoned, sweet, succulent. We ate every last morsel. And then he brought us warm chocolate cake. What a meal! Do not miss the opportunity. Yammas!
