Ammos Beach Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Kimolos

Very unprofessional. Places like this shouldn’t operate and take up spaces of the beach. Visited with family and asked for a sun lounger set and were told by the waiter that they dont do reservations but could sit where we liked. After settling and got in for a swim the owner came and told us to move as this sun lounger was going to be used by someone else. There was an old towel thrown and nothing else which meant that the bar did reservations but only for certain people. Its an old trick to leave towels and act as if it was reserved but was not expecting the bar itself to do that. I told her to wait for my husband to come out from the sea to help move but she was very rude and kept on saying you need to move now the man with the boy will come soon. Obviously that man is very important or has paid her to do the reservations that she doesn’t do. Other people around us were telling her how unprofessional that was and thar they were told that Ammos doesnt do reservations but yet were towels left in many sunbeds. Beach bar next door does reservations and they are open about it. This is what happens when people that dont know how to do business open bars. STAY AWAY there are other places to spend money on! This one is not worth it. Will be reporting it to the authorities! Following up on the response from the owner, only thing I will reiterate is that their behaviour was unacceptable and unprofessional with other customers complaining at the same time. Accusing someone for lying about a back surgery shows exactly what kind of people run this bar. I will report the incident and provide medical records if asked. I witnessed what was said in the previous post and I must admit the behaviour of the staff of ammos bar was disgusting. They were telling all foreigners not the Greek speaking guests that they should spend minimum 20 euros on top of the 10 euros they had to pay for the set of 2 beds and an umbrella. When some people bought some food from a nearby restaurant, the staff especially someone called Vasilis became rude and aggressive to them. Avoid this place...
