There are places you travel to for the beaches, and others you travel to for the food. This spot in Prassa manages to be both. The fish here is the kind you rarely encounter anymore — so fresh it feels like the sea never let it go. It’s not just about freshness, though. The kitchen respects every ingredient, delivering recipes that are simple on the surface yet executed with a level of care that lifts them far above the ordinary.

What makes it truly memorable is the setting. Nothing feels staged or over-designed. It’s authentic, raw, and original — the kind of atmosphere that only an island like Kimolos can offer. Sitting here, with waves lapping just a few steps away and the Aegean breeze carrying hints of salt and thyme, you realise this isn’t just a restaurant. It’s an experience.

In a country overflowing with good tavernas and celebrated chefs, this place quietly makes its case among the best. Not through glamour or theatrics, but through purity: pure ingredients, pure execution, pure island soul.

Sometimes, one meal is enough to justify the journey. In Kimolos, this...

We came here for lunch and it was lovely. I would highly, highly recommend eating here, with the disclaimer of asking about the price of a market fish. We had the most exquisite view & the spaghetti vongole made my mouth water. We then ordered the Golden Grouper on our waiter’s recommendation. We had asked about the size because we weren’t overly hungry. He actually brought the fish out for us to see which was amazing, but we all agreed it was very large and would only need half the fish (for our party of 2 people). The flavor was incredible but when the bill came out we found that we paid €88 just for the fish. This was the highest price we paid for any dish during our 2 weeks in Greece. The fish was really wonderful, we just weren’t expecting that price and wished we had asked beforehand. Other than that, the flavors &...

Prasonisi - it’s an unforgettable experience that completely surpasses every expectation. What we thought would be a great seaside meal turned into one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve recently had

The ceviche is a burst of freshness and citrus brilliance, the octopus is impossibly tender and perfectly charred, and the red mullet pasta? Absolutely next-level — rich, refined, and singing with flavor from the sea.

Then there’s the view: unreal. And the staff? Warm, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming — they elevate the whole experience. Prasonisi is the kind of place that makes you stop mid-bite just to savor the moment. If you’re on Kimolos, this is not just a must-visit — it’s...
