Porfira — Restaurant in Municipality of Kissamos

First my friend recieved her food 10-15 minutes before me even though we ordered together. When they came in with my food it was the wrong food from what I had ordered. I told her that it was the wrong order but she did not seem to care more than thinking that I was annoying. Because of the fact that they had been late with the food I did not have time to sit and wait for another 20 minutes to get the correct order so I told her that I would take the pizza even though it was not the correct one. But then when we get the reciept they have the guts to add 2.5 euros for olive oil and bread that we did not even ordered in the first place. Many restaurants nearby are very generous so we thought that it was the same culture at this restaurant. After I told her that I think that it is bad service manners to add additional costs if you mess up someones order (both by taking too much time and giving the wrong one) the servant got very angry. But as soon as I said that I would give a bad review she emediatly told me that they would take away the cost for the olive oil and bread.

I don't know. I just get a bad feeling in my stomach of that kind of behaviour. Nice view and environment and the boy servant was very friendly. But unfortunately the food and the overall service was not impressive at all which will lead to nothing...

We arrived late, at 10:30 PM, and asked if we could still eat. They said yes. The waitress was very hospitable, even answering questions unrelated to the food. We ordered a sea bream and octopus. The octopus was overcooked, the sea bream was very well done, but the side dish consisted of a simple, unseasoned salad. We would have preferred a prepared salad or something based on potatoes. Although there was only one table left near the bar with people who seemed to be locals since they were chatting with the waiters, it took 30 minutes after we finished eating for them to clear the table. What a lovely little taverna/restaurant to go to for lunch. Food is excellent - I had fresh grilled sardines, which were so good. My fellow diner had grilled squid, which he said was cooked perfectly. The guy that took our order (I think he is the owner) was so friendly & welcoming. The view is amazing and I can't imagine a better place to sit eating fresh sardines & a Greek salad with a cold Mythos. To add to the whole experience we had the opportunity to sample their own brewed West Coast IPA, which rounded off our meal perfectly.
