Zacharias — Restaurant in Municipality of Kissamos

Absolutely great time @Zacharias. Staff and especially the owners are soo cute and relaxed.

Had (after a Greek salad and some more things) the lamb, which was made fresh and out of own production, like almost everything. The family are farmers, as well (how the heck do they do that besides running this restaurant)?!

We tried through the housemade (or housemate?! :) ) wine. The guy knows, that the rose isn't 100%, but it's worth a try. He promised to make it better the next year. Challe he accepted, I'd say!

For today... In the end, you better end up with an yin-yang (red and withe in change) mix.

Try the dessert with housemade honey and the, of course housemade, Raki!

Prices are pretty low for my understanding, but seem to be average for the region.

From my side, fivvvve star rating for the restaurant, the atmosphere and the time, spent there.

Parking spaces are directly in the opposite. I didn't need one. Went by foot from Katerina's nice room (it's one family), named: 'Naiades cosy rooms near Falasarna Beach'.

Stay away. TOURIST TRAP!!! There are so many better places in Crete than this. With their overpriced prices, I expected MUCH better. I paid 10 eur, and the other day I paid 4 eur for a greater meal. They advertise with fresh fish, yet even their shrimps are frozen. I had rabbit with fries. The fries were soft and cold, tasted like they were made 2 hours ago. The rabbit seemed tasty, but it was like gum. The grilled chicken was dry and burned, you need at least 3 cokes to get it down. The goat had a very odd and weird taste.

We informed the owner who reacted aggressively, concluding the chicken was not dry - as if we never had chicken before.

Owner does not care as soon as he got his money. A shame to the...

I just had dinner in this taverna with 2 friends. They took ages to come to our table and take our order. After that, only 2 beers were brought and it took a lot of time to bring the third one. I had lamb with lemon- it was ok, but wouldn’t order it again. My friends had the moussaka and an eggplant dish that I can’t recall- those two were really nice, specially the moussaka. Before the meal was brought we asked for napkins that were only brought when we were finished. We asked for an ashtray that was never brought. Every time we wanted to call the staff, it took ages. I eventually had to go myself to ask for the bill.. the service...
