Taverna Limionas — it’s love at first sunset. The sun slowly sinks into the Aegean Sea, you’re sitting at a table somewhere on top of the world, and in front of you — the perfect dinner. We had octopus, calamari, and a tuna steak — and honestly, it was wow. The tuna? Juicy, perfectly grilled, not even slightly overcooked. That’s rare. But the octopus… oh my god. That was the best octopus I’ve ever had. Not rubbery, not chewy — just tender, silky, and full of flavor. Absolute perfection.
And then… there was the eggplant. We still talk about that eggplant. Baked, maybe grilled, with garlic — we’re not even sure what exactly they did to it. But it was rich, juicy, and so full of soul that we all fell a little bit in love. A dish that quietly steals the show.
Honestly? A Michelin star is already packing its bags and booking a ticket to Kos. This place isn’t just delicious — it’s real. Beautiful, warm, unforgettable. From the bottom of our hearts, we give this place a solid 20 out of 10. And we’re already dreaming of...
Read moreOnly in KOS for 11 nights in a 5 star all inclusive hotel, so it says something about the Limionas that I chose to have two evening meals here! It is a family run restaurant specialising in sea food, on a very picturesque part of KOS. This restaurant is also famed for its sunset views. The service and food are amazing, you won't get fresher or better food elsewhere, so don't waste your time trying, head straight for the Restaurant Limionas for a fantastic meal served by staff whose pleasure is your enjoyment. One warning, don't eat too much before you go as your are served generous portions, however you will find the food very tasty and fresh. You will receive true Greek hospitality by a family that cares about their service, food and your enjoyment! I would highly recommend the Restaurant Limionas, should you be on KOS and looking for fresh fish in a picturesque environment! Ideal also for family celebrations like Birthdays and Anniversaries, or just for a romantic meal...
Read moreWe went to Restaurant Limnionas based on a recommendation from our Hotel Ikos. The restaurant is situated on the north side of Kos which allows guest to see the sunset. The restaurant lies at the entrance of a small harbour which looks (sadly) like it was never finished. The view from the restaurant still is somewhat nice. We had mussels and grilled sea bream. Unfortunately, half of the mussel shells were empty 🤨 and the sea bream was half of a half 😶. The dishes were ok, but - in our opinion - far from good. The service at the restaurant was super nice and friendly. We had two Aperol Spritz which turn out to cost 9 EUR each. 😳 Absolutely ridiculous! Such prices may be justifiable if everything else is top and if you are in a trendy location. But here? In sum, the restaurant leaves us with a bitter taste and the feeling that we got caught in a tourist trap. We will definitely...
