Just when you think you‘ve made it through avlemonas to the end, you walk a bit further towards the harbor and then you hear it— the DJ playing at the Arachtopoleio! Direct on the harbor, the boats a-rocking , the cocktails here are really great, and the service A+ we visited a few times, not on consecutive nights, and the waitress remembered what we had had the last time!

How such a bar landed in such a small village is beyond me! A...

Enjoying the early evening sun while drinking gin and tonics here was genuinely one of the highlights of our holiday in Kythira. We went back for all of the remaining nights of our stay and were sad to leave. Amazing place in an amazing fisherman's village. Very interesting music, both Greek and international. Nice cocktails and amazing sweets. Beware, sweets are only served till 2200 sharp and it would be a shame not to taste the homemade chocolate pie (more like fudge) with...
