NISOS cafe-bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Markopoulo Mesogaias

The best thing about Nisos is the location. It's off the beaten track, away from the road and has a great view overlooking the sea, Evia and the little island from which it gets its name. The place is well laid out and the music is good. Their drinks are reasonable for the prices (€5.00 for a large draught beer) and setting, but we had a few quibbles regarding simple, avoidable problems. Firstly, the 3 beers we had ordered all came with the level well below the lines on the glasses. We had requested that they didn't have much head on them, since who wants half a glass of froth like some places serve? On our commenting on the low levels we got the reply that "it's difficult". As anyone who has worked a bar can tell you, it's not. Anyway, they brought back the beers with a bit more in and we ordered a salad, some fried courgette balls and a couple of pizzas. The fried courgette balls were reasonable. We had chosen this Greek speciality since it was one of the few starters on the menu which they advertised as made in the bar's restaurant. The salad was far too small for the price (€10.00 - normal when the size and quality is up to standard) and was obviously a (not at all fresh)⁹ handful from a pack of ready made salad like they sell in supermarkets, with a few drops of dressing and a spoonful of soft cheese. The pizzas were better, not too small or bare, but at €13.00 each, slightly overpriced since they didn't include some ingredient like prosciutto to justify it. Finally, though the staff were polite, they charged us for something we hadn't had (for the second time...

One of the most beautiful locations in Atiica Region..Good and polite ppl and eager to help.Food was so la la.A place to try even if the food there isn't the priority. UPD of 9/9: we visited the place again today and things got worst. This beautiful place deserves a better food quality to offer. Fried kalamaria were directly from deep frost situation and not well fried but the worst was the experience of fried potatoes …were deep frost and obviously re fried .Red flag for the bad oil which was used in a salad. Old and bad in smell and taste . Definitely not an extra virgin one…Dudes make a better food in this amazing place , please!Other wise offer only coffees and club...

Πολύ αρνητικά σχόλια. Αρχικά, μας σέρβιραν κάτι παιδάκια που κρατούσαν κάτι κινητά στο χέρι τους και κρατούσαν τις παραγγελίες μας μέσω αυτών: τα έμπλεκαν, μας έφερναν λάθος αριθμό μαχαιροπήρουνων και τα αναψυκτικά μας τα έφερναν τμηματικά. Στο τέλος ήρθαν πάλι με τα κινητάκια-μπλοκάκια τους να εισπράξουν τα χρήματα, αλλά δεν μας έφεραν απόδειξη!! Αυτό, από όσο έμαθα αργότερα, το έκαναν και σε άλλους... Από αξιοπρέπεια, δεν τους τη ζήτησα, γιατί τους πληρώσαμε μετρητοίς-και ούτως ή άλλως δεν μετράει... Όταν αργότερα, φεύγοντας συναντηθήκαμε με υπεύθυνο (ένας τύπος με ξυρισμένο κρανίο) του μαγαζιού, μας απάντησε ότι οι αποδείξεις μας βρίσκονται στα ταμεία!!!! (Περιττεύουν τα σχόλια....). Τίποτε άλλο ως απάντηση ή δικαιολογία ή έστω μια συγγνώμη (ή να αναζητήσει την απόδειξη και να μας τη φέρει...). Α ΡΕ έλεγχοι της εφορίας!!! Το τρίτο και αρνητικότερο συμβάν, το γεγονός ότι φεύγοντας από την έξοδο του μαγαζιού και εντός του πάρκινγκ, ανακαλύψαμε ένα αυτοκίνητο με σπασμένο τζάμι (το είχαν διαρρήξει, παίρνοντας τσάντες και λοιπά αντικείμενα) και την ιδιοκτήτριά του καταστενοχωρημένη, να μας αναφέρει ότι η φίλη της παραπονιέται στη διεύθυνση του μαγαζιού, για μή φύλαξη του πάρκινγκ (και μάλιστα, όπως ανέφερε επανειλημμένα, έμαθε ότι τέτοιου είδους διαρρήξεις στο συγκεκριμένο πάρκινγκ του μαγαζιού γίνονται συνέχεια). Η κοινή λογική λέει ότι ο οιοσδήποτε ιδιοκτήτης, προκειμένου να προστατεύσει τη φήμη του μαγαζιού του, όταν γίνονται επανειλημμένα τέτοιες κλεψιές στον ίδιο χώρο, φροντίζει να βάζει κάποιον υπάλληλό του, με μία υποτυπώδη μίσθωση να φυλά το χώρο... Και ο νοών νοείτω.... Στη συνέχεια δε, επέμενε να δίνει στην ιδιοκτήτρια του σπασμένου αυτοκινήτου, αφελείς δικαιολογίες για την μη ευθύνη του στη φύλαξη του χώρου.... ΠΟΛΥ ΑΡΝΗΤΙΚΑ ΣΧΟΛΙΑ!!! Αν επιμένετε να πάτε στο συγκεκριμένο μαγαζί λόγω της θέας του, σας συμβουλεύουμε να πάτε ΜΟΝΟΝ με πατίνια (απλά πατίνια φθηνά) και αγκαλιά...
