Psaravolada Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Milos

Very very disappointed! Wonderful location but food & service are terrible. Made me wonder if the reviews I read before going were fake..... The restaurant presents itself as upscale but this is just about it....Location and prices , the rest is pitiful. First of all the table setting was soooo shameful... just 2 tableplacemat & small plate. The waiter looked pretty annoyed when asked for time to decide on the menu. We haven’t been brought neither bread nor napkins (!) yup the entire evening we USED OUT OWN tissues from my bag despite asking the waiter twice for some. The menu.... crazy prices (especially for Greece). We have spent I month between Crete and Naxos and we have tried the real & bountiful greek cuisine & never felt robbed & fooled like we did at this place! We tried the mussels (14€... crazy as this is the price on Italian riviera for a great & tasteful portion of mussels).... but here there were a tiny portion. Also the pork chops... seemed abundant but definitely not “cuisine”... just ordinay pork chops with some normal barbecue sauce ( which was said to be burbon.... but I am a cook & know how burbon sauce tastes!!!!!). Also the “mashed potatoes” were potatoes flakes mixed with water nothing more!!!! For 22 €!!!! As for the fish... beside the prices .... squid were few tiny squids rolled in industrial pesto on grated & burned potatoes... for 20€!!! It is a real pitty that the restaurant tries to fool the customers in such way. Too bad for the scenery! 2stars just for...

We stopped here for lunch during a day exploring the Milos beaches, and we were the first customers to arrive following its 1pm opening.

The location is wonderful with views over the sea, and very peaceful.

We chose the Greek Salad which was lovely, however the bread was very hard/dry, which we pointed out to the waiter. They bought some more bread to us straight away but this time it had been warmed up with some olive oil drizzled on top, which we suspect was done to hide the fact that the bread was not as fresh as it should be. Considering the higher-end market that this restaurant is targeting and the price tag that goes with it, it was disappointing that fresh bread was not available or baked on-site that day.

My wife also needed the toilet before we left but she came out quickly without using them due to the cleanliness and lack of any tissue.

Regardless of this, as the main dish was very tasty, we assume this was just one of those things that doesn’t happen every day, and considering the other excellent reviews we would give it another go if we were in...

My husband and I spent two days in this stunning hotel in June 2018. The location is just perfect, the view is indescribable, the accommodation is outstanding: the studios are newly refurbished, with high quality furniture, all in natural materials (wood/ vinini), rooms are decorated with stilish minimal chic white decorations. The view from the terraces is stunning. The outdoor beds are fabolous, you can enjoy the peace, sun and silence during the day and the starry sky in the night. Here we enjoyed what I define real luxury: silence, breathtaking nature, a lot of space, closeness with an amazing nature. The breakfast is served in the terrace: it is excellent, with home made local products. The view from the terrace of the restaurant is unforgettable. The owners, Dimitra and her family, are available, friendly and really helpful. We had lunch in the restaurant and everything was great, from the local wine to the catch of the day.
