Excellent home-made cooking! (So good that it would make my grandmother jealous!). After you try it once, it's hard to resist going back again and again! We stayed at a holiday home a couple of blocks away for 10 days, and were also happy to take a break from cooking, so we often resorted to this place.
There's always a wide variety to choose from (the earlier you go the more choice!), always elaborate dishes, and we never tried anything that wasn't delicious. From the Moussaka to the cabbage with rice and minced meat, the veal in lemon sauce, the risottos, the bean soup, the artichokes...everything we tried was absolutely delicious! (My mouth is watering just thinking about it!). And prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food and size of the servings.
Super friendly service too, always patiently explaining the dishes to us in English.

I did not research the hours carefully and arrived at around 4pm when they were preparing to close for the day. They still had some food left in the back and the person I talked to was kind enough to offer me 3 dishes (chicken, beef, or fish soup), each for 7 euros. But I declined because I wanted to see the food on display (sadly, I was not able to return the next day as I had hoped). It felt like a place where you could get good food away from the touristy...
Read moreThis is a magirio, somewhere selling home made, traditional Greek dishes. Although they have 2 tables, this is a takeaway. Locals come and pick up their food, of they’re not having it for lunch, perhaps they’ll heat it up for dinner after work.
