Sambåla Beach Bar Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Nafplio

While staying in Tolo, we decided to take a short trip to Nafplio and stopped at Sambala Beach Bar Restaurant for a relaxing day by the sea. The beach follows the classic Greek style: clean, well-kept, and very affordable. A pair of sunbeds with an umbrella costs around €15, which is perfectly reasonable. There’s also a minimum consumption policy, but the prices are fair and in line with the area.

The beach itself is beautiful and comfortable, with calm, clear water and a nice atmosphere. Service is good, and the staff are polite and efficient. When it comes to food, it’s not necessarily the best place to have a full meal — there are definitely better dining options in Nafplio — but for drinks, snacks, and a light lunch, it works perfectly.

Overall, if you’re in the area and looking for a convenient beach spot to relax for a few hours, Sambala is a good choice. Comfortable, affordable, and close enough to Nafplio to combine with a nice walk...

This beach bar looks like nice place with plenty of shade—perfect for spending a hot afternoon, minus the wait. Speaking of waits, we had a 45-minute exercise in patience before we could order. Our waiter was polite and friendly, though he seemed to believe that table crumbs and stains on the table add to the ambiance. The menu was interesting although several items we tried to order were not available. After another 45 minutes, the food arrived, and it was worth the wait - especially the Greek salad. We waited 20 minutes until they cleaned the table from previous customers and another 15 minutes until they took the order(only 1 -one- waiter was taking orders and making bills. Rest of them just delivered food and drinks. Food arrives in 20-25 mins from order and my burger was more boiled than grilled (frozen meat incorrect prepared), my wife's pizza was so ans so and only my daughter's nuggets were ok. I ordered 2 beers, 2nd one was not cold... pricea were decent. We just stayed tjere because it was the only place to eat for a range of 500m at lest.
