Pigi Traditional Tavern, Naxos, Ano Potamia — Restaurant in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

Worst customer service ever. Made a booking thinking it will be really busy - which was not the case.When we arrived got ignored for 45 minutes. Asked multiple times to have someone take our order but were ignored not once but at at least four times. They took orders from a few other tables - most of those arrived after us. No explanation- we had to beg for a bottle of water. When someone finally arrived to take our order they told us no Soulva - spit meats are not available - all gone. We had enough of their hospitality got up and left extremely disappointed. Then they made us pay 2 euro for the water -which we didn’t even drink. Management should be really ashamed of their customer service. Do NOT waste your time...

This is the best place to eat on Naxos, hands down.

Its situated in the lush central part of Naxos in a valley surrounded by greenery. In the day you'll have the option to dine outside in the shade of the largest tree I have seen on Naxos.

The food is cooked perfectly, with excellent ingredients. My wife and I had the "Goat in Pot" (which has a taste quite similar to lamb, though not quite as gamey) and Beef & Eggplant which had some excellent cheese melted on top.

This was the most authentic, and delicious food we had on our two week trip to Naxos.

The location and food are amazing. I'm giving it 3 stars though because the son of the owners who served us acted annoyed that we were even there and disinterested the entire time. I get that tourism fatigue had probably set in by time we got there (middle of September) but my kids even made the comment after lunch that the server didn't seem happy we were there.
