PSILI AMMOS RESTAURANT-STUDIOS — Restaurant in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

We stayed here five nights in July 2019. It's about a 30 minute taxi drive from the port. The best thing about this place is the location--it's a 100 meter walk across a beautiful, uncrowded beach to get to the crystal blue sea. It is a quiet, family place. ||We were here three nights without a car and had no problems filling our days lounging on the beach and taking forever eating our meals on the veranda of the restaurant; however, if you want nightlife or city amenities you should rent a car or stay elsewhere. ||||Nikos, the owner, was very helpful and even drove us to a nearby market so we could buy fruit and supplies. He arranged a car rental for us for our last two nights (which was 35 euros a day) and the car was even delivered as part of the price. We used that to tool around Naxos our last two days and get to the airport.||||The attached taverna was excellent and we ate 6 or 7 meals there. We were able to put all those meals on a tab and pay at the end of our stay.||||This is a budget-type place and is an excellent value. We had a room with a double bed but it was really just two twins pushed together and the mattress wasn't very comfortable. The shower water pressure was excellent and there was plenty of hot water but the shower space was small. There was a small kitchenette that wasn't overly equipped but truthfully, we never really felt like we needed to cook since the taverna's food was inexpensive and good. Each window and the door to the balcony has good screens to keep out bugs. It was cool enough in the evening that we did not...

... den Ort, die Ruhe, das Wasser, den Sand, den Blick, das Essen, das Haus und natürlich die Gastgeber schaffen ein Ambiente was man heutzutage nicht mehr so schnell findet. Und wenn man solch einen Ort für sich entdeckt hat sollte man eigentlich hier für keine große Werbung machen...||||An den Ort Pyrgaki gehen die bewachsenen Sanddünen direkt über in den Strand und das Meer. Den Strand besteht aus einen sehr feinen goldfarbigen Sand das bis weit im Meer hinein ausbreitet. Da das glasklare Wasser nur sehr langsam tiefer wird (die ersten 15 Meter nur 50 bis 100 cm Tiefe) eignet sich diesen Strand perfekt für kleinere Kinder. Nach ca. 15 Meter wird es ausreichend tief um super zu schwimmen. Bis ca. 30 Meter kann man als Erwachsener noch im Wasser stehen. An den beiden Enden der Bucht gibt es Felsformationen die zum Schnorcheln einladen. Auf einem kleinen Abschnitt des Strandes vermietet Nikos zusätzlich Liegen mit Sonnenschirme. Es gibt weiterhin nur pur Natur, keine Kiosks, Bars usw. Nur eben den schönsten Strand von Naxos. Und das reicht. Für einen Snack, Getränk oder Eis läuft man kurz "nach Hause", nach der 50 Meter entfernte Taverne. ||||Pyrgaki ist sehr ruhig. Den Strand und die Taverne werden hauptsächlich zwischen ca. 11.00 U und 18.00 U besucht von nur wenige aber hier für gezielt angereisten Touristen oder Locals. In der Morgen- und Abendsonne ist nur wenig Betrieb und hat man den Strand meistens für sich alleine. Just a dream!||||Die Familie Moustakis betreibt die 6 großzügige Studios, eine tolle Taverne, baut selbst eigenes Gemüse und Wein an und züchtet kleineres Vieh das sie selbst verarbeiten und zurück zu finden ist auf deren Speisekarte von der Taverne. Aber bevor man das alles dann Abends auf dem Teller zurück findet sollte man sich den kleinen Farm mit den noch lebendigen Pflanzen und Tiere anschauen. Die Kinder lieben es! Den Streichelzoo kommt gratis dazu...||||Nikos Moustakis ist den ersten Ansprechpartner, war immer für uns da und sorgt dafür dass alle Gäste sich wohlfühlen. Die gesamte Familie beteiligt sich an der Organisation und man hat das Gefühl zur Gast zu sein bei einer sehr freundliche Gastfamilie.||||Die Speisekarte der Taverne bietet eine große Vielzahl an lokale (Naxos) aber auch typische griechische Spezialitäten an. Die Mutter von Nikos sorgt dafür das einfach jedes Gericht dass man für sich selbst auswählt immer von höchsten Niveau ist und immer wieder schmackhaft ist. Eine unglaublich gute Köchin. Ob es sich um ein Spiegelei mit Toast beim Frühstück, gegrillten Fischgerichte oder einen klassischen griechischen Moussaka handelt, einfach alles schmeckt hervorragend.||||Die Studios sind einfach ausgestattet aber genau richtig. Man braucht ja nicht mehr als einen Kühlschrank, eine kleine Kochplatte und ausreichende Geschirrausstattung.Das alles ist vorhanden. Die Qualität der Betten ist völlig ausreichend und werden jeden zweiten Tag neu bezogen inkl. ausreichend frische Handtücher. Gereinigt wird ebenfalls jeden zweiten Tag. Jedes Studio hat seine eigene geräumige Terrasse. Eine Airco ist ebenfalls vorhanden.||||Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für das Essen als auch für den Studios ist sehr gut.||||Wenn man dann doch dieses kleine Paradies möchte entfliehen, um doch noch ein Wenig mehr den Insel zu entdecken, mietet man sich ein Auto (ein Tag vorher bei Niko anfragen) oder man nimmt die Inselbus Richtung Naxos-Stadt (3x am Tag) die vor der Taverne anhält. Aber wer möchte das?||||Wenn man auf der Suche ist nach etwas individuelles und einzigartiges und sich von eine kleine griechische Gastfamilie möchte verwöhnen lassen wäre Psili Ammos den exklusiven Geheimtipp. Bloß nicht weiter erzählen! Nein, dieses muss man natürlich weiter geben!||||Schönen Urlaub...
