Not the Naxian cuisine I was hoping. We had: 1 Greek salad, good, lots of tomatoes, not enough olive oil 1 soutzoukakia, I was not expecting perfection since it is not a local dish but very mediocre dish. There was a hint a sauce on top of the French fries, not nice 1 mousaka, you can find much much better easily. This was a disappointment! 1 chickpeas made in the oven, mediocre dish also. 1 bootle of water and one Pepsi max, all this was a total of 31euros To sum up if you think this is good then you don’t know what you are missing because you are not tasting Greek cuisine...
Read moreA traditional greek tavern on the beach, with a nice outdoor area, in front of the bus stop. Service was ok, however the food was a disappointment. It was served cold, with low quality pasta that had been boiled hours ago, and no cheese, despite it being a traditional addition to greek dishes with red sauce and pasta. The dish was greasy and generally lacked any interesting flavours, although the meat was cooked thoroughly and fell of the bone. The price was just unacceptable for the low quality of the food, would not recommend unless you are in that beach and desperate...
Read moreLovely taverna right off Pyrgaki beach. Reserve a table under the trees with string lights and it will feel like a fairy tale. I have a severe gluten allergy and was most impressed by our server’s knowledge of what I could eat. She even brought me a separate silverware set since the others came in the bread basket (without me asking!) - swim in the sea first then shower off behind the taverna and change in their changing rooms! Save time for evening beach walk. The food is homemade, authentic and awesome. Kid...
