In the heart of Naxos at Taverna Johnny's, one can embark on a culinary odyssey of genuine Greek flavors. The Greek salad here is unparalleled - a vibrant medley of olives, capers, bell peppers, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, and a traditional, mild feta that stands in striking contrast to its industrially-produced counterparts. Their lamb is a revelation: incredibly tender and unlike anything I've tasted in Central Europe. Great restaurant with a lot of vegan options! We ate many traditional entries/appetizers that were vegan and could give a complete meal if you care about eating your proteins and vegetables (attention, the sizes of the entries are BIG, so everything we ordered was enought for 3 people) : fava paste, naxian fries, fried mushrooms, and everything was delicious. The people working there are really nice and the place is very traditional. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere with a very pleasent view. Johnny's tavern is one of the best in Naxos. You can eat there very tasty local foods made by local products. The environment is very beautiful and quite. Nikos, the chef of tavern, is very polite and likes to speek to his client, telling to them stories of Naxos and his village, Sagri. In this tavern you can meet local people from Sagri and from others villages of Naxos. They trust Johnny's cooking. When I visit Naxos I pass from there at least once.
