All you need to know about this place:

Food: truly this is as AUTHENTIC as you will find in the Greek islands (and I've been to a few). You HAVE to get the lamb. It was cooked to order. Same with the fries. They cooked them when I ordered. One thing to note, when you order the lamb it doesn't come with anything else. So make sure you order fries or some other sides. I got the 1/2kg and was plenty for me (went solo). Also got the goat cheese dip and was really good.

Atmosphere: this is RUSTIC, nothing fancy, but the view of the bay is amazing. Very quiet too. So take In the weather and enjoy some great food. I went there for lunch and was the only person. It felt very peaceful.

Prices: I got two glasses of wine, the goat cheese, lamb, and fries. Came to €28 and I rounded up to €30 for tip. Can't beat that. The lamb was €20 alone. I think it's a good deal for what I got.

Getting there: it's quite the drive. Opposite corner of Old Town. But definitely worth it. The last bit of the road is dirt but you'll be fine. Even go get into the water after. This is what travel is about. Experiencing something local.

Overall: 5/5 for vibe and food. If you want to be more of a traveler than a tourist. This should 100% be on your Naxos list of places to go eat at....

A refreshingly genuine foodie experience. A far cry from the standard Euro beach culture food that dominates the tourist areas. A rustic stone BBQ is fired up with olive wood and a few twigs of rosemary. Dimitri who tends his BBQ also cuts the lamb chops expertly from the bigger joint of meat from his farm. Herbed courgettes are also cooked over charcoal and in a twist on the Greek salad they use a salty fresh cheese, also from the farm. Sophia is super friendly and attentive. She brings ice for the water and is rightly proud of the food she serves. There are multi-million pound yachts moored in the bay who ferry their pampered guests to the beach with ready made food served by uniformed staff darting about. They are missing out by not...

This was a really good experience. You expect good food when the place has a total of 7 things on the menu, but nevertheless this exceeded our expectations. So: efficient, super friendly service. Great location with nice view. And the food... Best Greek salad on Naxos. Great tzatziki, sausages and fried zucchinis and aubergines. Good lamb chops, although a bit chewy (must have been an older animal). And the BEST fries I have ever tasted in my life. I would happily drive here just for a bite, and it's not...
