Taverna Kerasia — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

Not impressed , started badly and ended even worse. I had never hired a boat before and when it was recommended by a friend that it was the only way to visit the Tavernas on the coast , I hired one .. but upon pulling up at the jetty a rather rude man was moaning that I was mooring the boat incorrectly…. Maybe this was lost in translation.. when we asked for a table we were sat right at the back in a stinking hot corner away from the fans that seemed to cool the regulars. My wife ordered a seafood platter which came in record time, seemed edible enough .. until we were sailing back to San Stefano about 2 hours later and she was violently Ill. Worst place ever in island. Have been here 3 years ago didn't like but today was just awful. octopus on grill was bringt 1 minute after order. It was frozen and grilled may be day ago. In aubergine deep was mayonnaise but only this(thanks to aroma added,. Etc you could it it. Shrimps saganaki-also frozen. Saganaki-just aufull,right from can. Rocca and parmesan salad. We ate here twice on our recent stay in Kerasia. Once for a late lunch and then for an early dinner. On both visits we found the service to be friendly and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed all our meals, particular highlights were the meatballs with tomato sauce, lovely greek dips, lamb chops, moussaka and chicken souvlaki. The tradiitonal greek dishes are cooked beautifully. The location is stunning and despite poor weather on the first visit this did not spoil the experience. Highly...
