Full review: We visited Beach Bar and Restaurant Voutoumi expecting a relaxing beach day, but the experience ended up being frustrating and disappointing. The way pricing and rules were communicated felt vague and misleading.

We were told to reserve a restaurant table to get access to the beach sunbeds for 25€ per set. We agreed, and used three sets — totally fine paying 75€. We were also told we’d receive that amount back as a discount when dining. Unfortunately, we had to leave the island earlier than planned, so we canceled our restaurant reservation.

That’s when the situation changed drastically. The manager informed us that, because we didn’t dine at the restaurant, the sunbed price would be 50€ per set — doubling our cost with no prior notice or written terms to justify it. We ended up paying 150€ for something we were told would cost half.

The most disappointing part of this experience wasn’t just the unclear policy, but the manager’s attitude — impatient, confrontational, and unwilling to engage in any real conversation. Instead of helping us understand or offering a fair solution, we felt pushed aside and penalized. It left a very negative impression.

Even the beach staff who manage the sunbeds, while friendly at first, shifted tone when there was a disagreement. They became less helpful and couldn’t clearly explain the terms anymore.

This honestly feels like a monopoly — driven by profits, lacking real service, and showing little regard for guest experience. The owners made it clear that customer care is not a priority here. I feel for the staff working under this kind of management.

First of all, you get greeted by the guy on the beach that tells you that you must eat here if you want a sunbed and the sunbed costs 20 or 30 euros. That is not something that I like on the beggining because I am on a vacation and I dont want to be told that I HAVE to do something. Food in the restaurant is overpriced for the quality and they are rude enough to bill you things you didn't ask for. We also got the ketchup which was expired and tasting weirdly. We told that to the guy in the restaurant, but he did not do anything about that. They were also very slow and it took them 40 minutes to bring the food and the restaurant was not crowdy at all. While you are eating there is a space in front of the restaurant which smells awfully and it ruins the experience. The restaurant itself has some work to do before reaching a good level. The staff is ok but they have a monopol on the beach and if you don't take lunch at them, will charge you 50 eur (the staff from the beach) or 35 eur(the person from the bar) for sunbeds which is rather unprofessional becasue they just randomise the price on the spot. This is very unreasonable considering that most of the people will eat anyway or drink something at the bar.
