Theoni's Corner — Restaurant in Municipality of Pylos and Nestor

We visited this restaurant as we camped just opposite. Service was very good. Food came without waiting too much. We ordered a typical Greek dish called Stifado. The meat and the sauce were perfect. The chips however were partly uncooked. They were pulled out of the frying pan to early. We ordered a Greek salad and a starter. Also good. For drinks a beer and half liter wine. All together 40 euros which is extremely expensive. The main dish at 14 euros. This place is a disgrace to Greece. No menu, no prices. You are taken to the kitchen to choose. We chose lamb chops of which we got two skinny ones and some scraps, a few (and I mean a few) French fries, ONE slice of tomato. That’s it. Zucchini balls for first course…..raw pastry in the middle. We were enchanted by the shrimp saganaki and the grilled dorado here on our visit to Foinikounta last week. We loved it so much that we came back for both of the nights that we spent here. The staff are helpful and friendly, you can tell its a well-loved family business. The little cute black dog was the cherry on the top to this delectable restaurant. We will come back next time...
