Sirokos — Restaurant in Municipality of Rethymnon

It's a short drive from downtown Rethymno with ample parking. I'd like to call Sirokos a resort rather than a bar/tavern, even though there is no room accommodation. It's got a bar, restaurant, children's play area with a pool, showers, washrooms, shaded beach loungers. All this is located on a clean sandy beach.

The comfortable loungers are aligned with the beach and wooden boardwalks to connect them to the rest of the resort. This is handy to keep your feet beach sand free and to stop frying your feet on the hot sands mid-day.

There are courteous servers who come to your lounger and take your food and drink orders. Don't worry they speak conversational English and some German too. You can order from the food menu as well as from the cocktail, ice tea, and fruit smoothie menus.

You can also choose to go to the outdoor restaurant. The food is excellent. Delicious, authentic Cretan tastes, prepared with lots of care! Quality, generous portions and good value. It exceeded my expectations!

Try the meat platter or fish platter, Dakos Cretan salad. You will not be disappointed. Finish your meal fruit and with a complimentary Tsikoudia aka Raki as a digestive alcoholic beverage. (It's the drink Crete is known for)

I have been here 4 times, so far. All four times have been consistent and relaxing.

if in a place you can come from the morning and leave in the evening having eaten, swam, drank, slept, rested and filled with beautiful tastes, colors and images with great joy and a good mood from all the staff, then this place has completely achieved its goal . The attendance of the people shows how much acceptance it has as a place and even if some things for some more demanding people could be improved more, we have to admit that a great effort has been made to set up a professional proposal that can look both direct and simple to all but also elegant without extremes in its design and will improve even more in the future we are...

We recently got married in Crete at Sirokos taverna. The location is beautiful! We got married on the beach next to the taverna with a lovely view of the hills. Our celebration was at taverna. The staff were amazing, very attentive and friendly. We got served delicious drinks and food. The atmosphere is outstanding, we felt like we are surrounded by good friends. Taverna is spacious, has lovely decorations and all facilities such as toilets, loungers, play area for children.
