Vamvakas Taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Rethymnon

We went to this tavern as we were staying in the village , and it was some of the best nights we had of out holiday , the staff we exceptional, food fantastic and the wine was brilliant, we came back a second night for the Greek dancing and we had such a laugh. The lovely polish waitress was great on recommending , and we loved everything she suggested, the owner was very friendly too . Of If I could give it more then 5* I would Would definitely recommend . (It was soo good we even got a takeaway before my son went to the airport and that didn’t disappoint) The pork starter was great and we loved the zucchini flowers, and the huge piece of saganaki feta 😍.we had pudding sent with takeaway and raki free...

Restaurant located inland, just a 10/15 minute drive from the center. We loved the food so much that we went back a second time, where we also had the opportunity to experience an evening with traditional Cretan dances. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly. Delicious food! If we could give 100 stars, we would!

Perfect moments at this taverna! We have arrived without any reservations twice and have shared all appetizers for 9 persons. Each time it was a wonderful moment! The chef is very pleasant! And the food was the best of all the restaurants we visited before. The price is low! All the best to...
