Philerimos — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Firstly, this is a very local restaurant, and both the atmosphere and prices reflect that. It offers really good value compared to the more touristy areas, and the portion sizes were generous. The fava bean cream was lovely, and the overall experience felt authentic.

However, some dishes didn’t quite hit the mark. The chicken souvlaki was tough and not very tender, and while the octopus was okay, it wasn’t outstanding. The olive oil and bread starter recommended by the waiter wasn’t great either, the bread was hard, chewy, and soaked in oil, almost like sliced toasty bread, which wasn’t to our taste.

Looks beautiful, but service and food very poor. Took a long time to take our order (even tried to find someone) Ordered two chicken, mixed grill and cod. Food came out but did not take order for mixed grill and they looked confused. Came out 20 minutes after (everyone else had finished eating) but said that we did not order the meal, only three meals (there were four of us at the table so unsure why on earth they thought that). We spilled a drink but they did not come over to help - the mixed grill arrived after the spillage and did not take the empty plates either. we were riding in taxi and driver said ‘if you want to go where greeks go and try some local food you should try this one’ - and we and it’s 100% recommenced - fried cheese was something totally new, baked feta extremely delicious, tzatziki super fresh with fresh pita, we got seabass as fish of the day and that was top 1 dish we’ve had in rodos - it’s just grilled fish with a little bit of salt and nothing else because you don’t need anything ! protip - skip all places in rodos, tourist restaurants and come here - there were only greek people and that means it’s good restaurant ! i will remember this place forever...
