We visited this restaurant with great expectations given the previous reviews. I cannot comment on the quality of the food because unfortunately we didn't eventually eat there. The place was NOT busy! Our drinks and menus arrived very quickly but 30 minutes later when a waiter came to our table to take our order, we said we were leaving and asked for our bill. We explained we had waited 30 minutes, at least, to be served and one group who arrived 25 minutes after us had given their food orders and another who arrived 20 minutes after us were actually eating their starters. The waiter was apologetic and we didn't have to pay for our drinks BUT we were really disappointed and although we live on the Island we will not be returning.
Having read owners reply below, I have to disagree with his coments in defence of the delay. I asked for drinks when we sat down but made no reference to the possibity of not eating nor of an intention of informing a waiter if and when we did want to eat. We sat patiently waiting to be approached by a waiter to...
Read moreA lovely restaurant with friendly and helpful staff.
We arrived just after they had stopped serving food but decided to stay and have a bottle of wine.
The staff saw that we had wanted to order food and with their kindness they brought us a Greek salad, tzatziki and the village bread.
The food was filling, fresh, and very tasty.
We enjoyed the food with our wine and are very grateful for the staffs hospitality.
Edit:
We returned when it was open and the food was fantastic.
We had the village bread, Greek salad alongside the Oven baked feta, sakanaki, and the meat balls. All of which were very fresh and tasty.
We also order for mains the village sausage and the calamari.
The sausage was extremely good, and the calamari was exquisite, tasted very fresh, and was well presented (maybe the best calamari we have had so far during our trip).
10/10 Food, customer service, and the experience.
I would recommend anyone visiting the south of Rhodes to add this restaurant to the list of must eat at...
Read moreReally good food, the best lamb and moussaka I've had for long. Here, the service was great tho, there was a dude at the beginning who stated that no more tables were available, but the guy who "bossed", came, said to wait a little bit, and we were given a table and really good. Aside from that, nothing else. The mood at the time was great but it was really windy, so as a suggestion, I'd recommend or uhh suggest the restaurant if they could do sth about it, or some kind of protection.
About newcomers, you should reserve, so that you have no issue. Also, we ordered as main: lamb, eggplant, moussaka and meatballs. All of them really good, but in my opinion, the lamb was so well cooked, and it tasted amazing. And the moussaka second, the eggplant was great and so the meatballs. Good portions too, I'd say the meatballs are better to be shared, rather than the...
