Thalatta Fine Dining by Lindos Grand Resort & Spa — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

We had a fantastic food experience at Thalatta! As we were there at the end of season in October, it was chilly in the evening but they immediately brought a blanket over to my wife. The service was impeccable throughout from the maitre’d.

I had a complimentary appetiser of a pastry filled with spinach and feta to begin, followed by amazing scallops topped with a bacon and eel “sandwich” and ended with a deconstructed “moussaka” with all the same ingredients but the star was a parsley, panko encrusted lamb neck fillet. It was tender and so tasty! By the end we were so stuffed we couldn’t even fit dessert in.

As the Lindos Grand Resort offers half or full board dining options, it’s easy to think it’s not worth paying for a fine dining experience. However it was fully worth the additional cost, and would definitely recommend it as a last night treat even if you’re not staying at the...

The food is absolutely amazing and worth the visit. However as for a fine dining restaurant the ambience and service were lacking significantly. It was very windy day and restaurant did not even had clipers for the table clothes - which is astonishing for roof top restaurant. We did not receive any napkins and had to use our tissues after dinner. The more experienced waitress who welcomed us to the restayrant was very professional, kind and helpful. The younger waitress who was serving us that evening with cold and unpleasent attitude basically ruined our evening. We had a feeling we were bothering her and did not feel welcomed at all. Nice atmosphere in a lovely surroundings, with attentive staff. Very disappointed with the food, from the fine dining advertised. The starters were good, scallops and tuna tartare. However the main let the experience down. They arrived late and the scallops and crayfish dish was a massive disappointment. Very bland, no taste of a lobster bisque. The scallops didn't appear to be grilled/ ala planca, as advertised. I did point out the lack of taste and was told they could add pepper.
