Phournélo — Restaurant in Municipality of Samothraki

A place like this should rank at least 4 stars, considering the food was very good, and the location outstanding.

Sadly, though, the service here was lacking. It started out ok, enough, even if not great. However, there was a slight mix-up in one dish, and when my friend pointed out the error, they seemed very annoyed, and seemingly sought to ignore us the rest of the meal. We had to hunt someone down just to ask for pepper- pepper which never came. The girl server seemed stressed, and the boy, angry.

I would have rated them higher, since the pizza was quite nicely done, and the pasta, good. However, service detracted for at least 1-2 stars...

I was in Samothraki for 10 days. I'm vegetarian (lacto) and for 5 days I cook myself because all the taverns here meat orientated. At the 6-th day I found this restaurant.... and I start to live there. It's beautiful, delicious, fantastic. Big salads, try avocado salad - I think this is one of the best salads I ever eat in the restaurant worldwide. Baked potatoes, pizza is delicious... I recommend this restaurant to all around Samothraki!!!!! I added some pictures of cheese pizza, avocado salad and baked potatoes, but sorry we first eat half of all because it was impossible to resist... and only the I remember to...

Vegan Friendly!

After a few days in Greece I’d given up on even finding non-dairy milks here, so having this pizzeria recommended, I ordered a pizza without cheese. Then the waiter came back and asked if I wanted vegan cheese on it! I was floored.

They didn’t have soy milk (so no decaf soy cappuccino for desert sadly), but the pizza was fairly good (though certainly not the best I’ve eaten, but this is a small island in Greece, come on), and the service was quick and friendly and good :-)

I’m only staying here one night, but if I was staying longer, I’d come back here. I hear the salads are...
