ΤΑΒΕΡΝΑ Ο ΜΟΥΡΟΥΖΗΣ — Restaurant in Municipality of Saronikos

We gathered there, a nice company, to celebrate our beloved friends' birthday. It is a large meat tavern indeed, where you can enjoy really big portions of good food , although we were 11 persons, we could not manage all the food we ordered! I am a little difficult as far as the taste of wine is concerned....but I can assure you that this was one of the fewest times that I enjoyed wine so much , that I had many glasses of it 🍷 , and it didn't cause me any headache! As far as the food is concerned I can tell you that it did not cause me any stomach sickness (I am very sensitive to the bad and over -used quality of oil some taverns use) , because it was obvious that the french fries and zucchini they served us ,were not only tasty but also light in taste! This is a result of frequently changing the oil if you want to serve good quality! Really spacious place, with very cosy atmosphere and the 🔥 fireplace spreading warmth with no unpleasant odours of burning wood , maybe they could pay more attention to the toilet hygiene (it was the only minus for me) ,the service was very quick and the staff extremely kind,very good quality of food and drink , good prices and after we had finished our meal they offered us ohhhh.... yoghurt with cherry, quince,so so delicious...and melomacarones with sugared buns to finish!!!! Forgive me....all the smokers... I used to smoke too but I had to quit smoking and provide myself with life and energy, now I feel like choking every time I smell the cigarettes, I personally enjoyed the clear atmosphere...

We went on a trip from a cruise ship so it was a large party all at once. The trip included a typical Greek meze here. The amount of food served for our table of 4 was enormous. What we left was more than we ate. A mix of several meats (chicken, lamb,pork,and an excellent burger patti), salad , yogurt,garlic bread, fries, fried zucchini, wine, water and dessert to finish. I would say reduce the quantity and improve the quality a little. Had a great time and enjoyed the meal but what we were served was not gourmet food but a great experiance. Not sure what the price would be as it was part of a trip so cannot comment on...

Meat land!! The most known place in Athens for meat eating. All kinds of grilled meats, excellent quality. I always prefer rib eye. They serve it simple, and it is the BEST rib eye in Athens. Leaves way behind all other "classy" grill restaurants who offer aged over priced meat and luxury service (professional slicing etc). It is amazingly tender and tastful and they say it is not aged! Here we talk about simplicity and taste. That is all! Quick service, HUGE portions (be aware when you order) and occasionally they offer 1/2 kg of roasted lamp as offer from the tavern.
