I recently had the pleasure of visiting Kafenion "Stou Stratou" in the heart of Chora, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. Nestled in the beautiful central square, this charming establishment offers more than just a sip of their exquisite homemade Rakomelo—a spirit crafted from raki, honey, and a delightful blend of local spices.

One of the first things that struck me about Kafenion "Stou Stratou" was the family-like atmosphere. As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. The waiters were incredibly friendly, creating an inviting ambiance that made me feel right at home.

The blond wait staff that appears as cheerful and witty while taking orders, started shouting at me when I asked Stratos to take a photo of the café’s interior.

I had asked Stratos if it would be OK to take a photo of the interior and he was positive. Instead she started shouting she doesn’t want to appear on any photo.

I had definitely no intention of taking any photo of her whatsoever.

When I commented to Stratos that her behavior is inappropriate and unfriendly towards a customer, he replied that some people have intricate personalities and that taking photo of someone is an issue of personal data.

I upload for you a photo of the café’s interior, so that you don’t have to deal with her “intricate personality” and their miserable omelette—definitely the worst I had on the island among 6 other brunch places—while heading to another genuinely friendly...

Really nice place and the food was tasty.

The problem was that it took us 30min to order and another hour to receive the food we didn’t ask for. Then, an angry chef came complaining about their mistake.

We thought they were a bit overloaded but at some point, the square was empty and nothing was faster…

Finally, another 30min waiting for the bill. We ended up going inside the room so we can pay.
