Hiking towards Selouda's Koutelo, my husband and I took shelter from rain at the tavern. There was a large group of tourists lunching there, and we thought we could wait out the rain with some food and drinks. Not ten minutes later, the strongest, most sudden storm hit us, drenching us and flooding the whole tavern terrace. Despite having very little space, the owners called everyone inside for cover. Half an hour or so later it slowed down and we were able to come out. Everyone was soaked to the bone. The owners brought us raki to warm up. My husband and I stayed for another hour, perhaps, talking with the owners (simple and very friendly people) and another couple over drinks. We were offered a place to sleep, in case the weather stayed bad, but eventually the sky cleared and we were able to safely go back to Agia Roumeli.
An incredible experience that we don't wish to repeat, but also a chance to meet some wonderful people. We plan to stop by the place again, hopefully just for pleasure. Definitely...
