Ark Beach Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Sithonia

The beach is good! Same as the beach bar. The sand is soft, the water deepens after a long walk through it (maybe 30 meters or more), it is a very nice experience. There is soft sand in the water, which is amazing! And the view...it is awesome! Straight to Mt. Athos. The colour is also amazing. It is suitable for everybody, also for kids, but there can be some big waves sometimes. You don.t have to pay for sunbeds, you just have to order something from the bar (5-6 euros most things to drink), and the personnel is fast and kind. Thanks to them for their services! The food is very good and the portions are BIG. The prices are also good. But the sand is not always clean, and the sunbeds are at a good distance, but are very bad. Some of them are broken. The music is not loud. There is a big parking spot (but no shadow for cars, the road is made of dirt, but very easy to drive on, there are enough sunbeds and is not crowded. There are toilets and an outdoor shower. In short, nice sand, nice water (suitable for everybody), nice view of Mt Athos, easy roads, ok serving, but bad sunbeds and dirty sand. It is in a very good spot with incredible view and good design and music so the atmosphere is 5 star. But the service is awful, there are no printed menus so if you don't have phone with you, you can't check. The restroom was the most disgusting i have ever saw and smelled in Greece, withbused toilet papers on the wall, probably the owners abandoned it. There are no trash bins anywhere....

The food partially good, i have ordered sea bass which was delicious and i saw other grilled foods looks nice, BUT they don't even give any side dish just for extra money... And it is awful, it was the most expensive(6€) and worst fried potatoes i have ever ate half raw and covered in overused oil. Everything is heavily overprized and compared to much better restaurants in Sarti it is a waste of...

The place is amazing - there are comfortable settings, hammocks, kiosks on the hill. It’s a shame it is slowly degrading, choosing to cut down on quality. We started visiting back in July 2021, and came back each year. The number of sun beds increased, the space between them decreased, the trash bin is no longer present and the beach is dirty with tissues, cigarette butts and pieces of plastic. We had lunch, and in the end payed an enlarged bill. Upon challenging the prices with the ones mentioned in the menu, we were told they are higher because the portions were larger. (No, we did not ask for, nor were offered larger portions). There was a bill written by hand, without details - just a bunch of numbers...
