We stumbled upon this place almost by accident, while driving along the coast and exploring different beaches. At the entrance, where a barrier controls access, the staff were polite and upfront: they explained that there might not be many free spots on the beach and also warned us that an umbrella with two sunbeds costs €40 – without including any kind of consumption. That honesty was appreciated.
Parking was already full, so we had to leave the car by the road. Despite the “luxury” branding written on every sign leading to the property, the parking area itself felt far from luxurious. Still, we decided to take a look. The place is pleasant, the restaurant looked inviting, and although the music was slightly too loud for our taste, we did manage to get a pair of sunbeds for the advertised €40.
The bay itself is beautiful – clear water, picturesque surroundings, and a relaxing vibe. A pleasant surprise was that food and drink prices were not as inflated as one might expect, even compared to other places that don’t claim to be “luxury.” That said, here you pay the beach fee on top, while elsewhere a simple order is usually enough to secure a spot.
Service was kind and attentive overall, but the atmosphere didn’t quite live up to the “luxury” promise. Beer was served without a glass (only in small bottles), while my flat white – though tasty – came in a flimsy paper cup. Strangely, when I later asked for a beer glass, one was available, so it wasn’t a matter of logistics. Small details like these undermine the premium image they try to project.
The kids ordered chicken nuggets – just six pieces on the plate, barely enough to share. On the positive side, the cocktail was well-made, and the fruit salad was fresh and delicious – something I would genuinely recommend.
In the end, it’s a lovely spot in terms of nature, but the overall experience felt a little overpriced for what it is. The staff are friendly, the setting is undeniably beautiful, but the “luxury” claim doesn’t fully match reality. For a one-time visit it was fine, but personally, I don’t think I would return...
Read moreWhat a memorable beach bar, the best we went to in our 7 day holiday in Halkidiki. We spent a full day at Manassu and truly enjoyed it. First off, yes, there's a 1km dirt road that leads down to the beach, but go slow, and you will be fine. The parking is large enough, however, lunch time might see it packed, so arrive before or after. The beach itself is beautiful, surrounded by amazing blue waters and forest. Having to descend to it(by car), the backdrop is impressively green, and makes it feel secluded. Yes, you can only be here if you pay for sunbeds, but that's how the place works, if you don't like that, there are literally beaches a 10 min drive away. We paid 35 eur per set in the first row, and had the most relaxing day. Anywhere else, the price for what we got would have been higher. We had 2 of our 3 daily meals here, on the beach, and I can honestly say food is good and the portions are huge, you can even share just 1 if you're not super hungry. Drinks were fresh and tasty, and cocktails actually had alcohol in them. Prices are in line with most beach clubs on Sithonia, but the quality is better. The service was impeccably professional, and friendly. Both the restaurant and the beach club are stylish, and they play enjoyable music that does not feel too loud. The subeds are distanced from each other, you feel like you really have intimacy. It wasn't crowded in mid July when we went, which made it even better. The beach and bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. The sea gets deep quickly, but there were lots of families with kids happily playing in the water, and yet it didn't feel loud or crowded, people were respectful. Swim a couple of meters from the shore and enjoy the bluest waters. Yes, the beach does not have smooth sand and it can get very uncomfortable at the water entrance if you have sensitive soles, so bring some sea shoes and you'll be fine. I would gladly return here, and would recommend it to anyone who wants a...
Read moreIf you are looking for a beautiful luxury beach club in vourvourou this is it. Rumors of the locals were true about this place- the service was not the best. I went 2x and the first server I had was great that I didn’t believe what the locals were saying. But he was the only one who was attentive and nice. Important tip is to make reservations for beach chairs prior to your beach day. They also tend to pick and choose how much they want to charge for chairs but their going rate seems to be anywhere from 35-55 euros for the set which isn’t that compared to other places in Greece. Another good thing about this beach was that they offer massages which are priced really well. They also have a cute boutique that sells bathing suits. The stuff is imported so expect higher price tags. Bathing suit brands from Colombia and USA. Staff there were friendly. The biggest complain here and why there is only 1 star is the waiters for the beach and the ones who bring you to your chairs. They are very rude. I’ve been summering in Greece for many years and have gone to countless beaches restaurants etc and NEVER had anyone ever asked me for a tip. I’ve always tipped knowing that it is not expected and especially based on the service I received. The waiter asked for a tip and then made remarks about the tip my husband left him bc I was coming back from our car to grab more cash so we gave him euros in coins. I was headed back with euros in my hands and I was going to give him the rest of his tip but hearing that I decided not to. The menu was your basic beach menu although they did have different yogurt bowls which were under healthy foods but the yogurt was colored with what looked like food dye and served in a large plastic container. It was a large portion though so that wasn’t bad. Overall if the service was better then I would have given this...
