Not particularly happy with this one. We went to the restaurant at what seemed to be the end of rush hour after a big group, and thus lots of options on the menu were not available. We also noted that while all tables around us got dessert & raki on the house after, as seems to be customary, we did not. We understand that maybe it was a bit of unlucky timing for us going after the big group and them having run out of food, however, it would have felt better, if the owners/crew had made an effort to compensate for the situation. Maybe they could have apologised and tried to offer something else on the house for example. In any case, as one would expect due to location, it is also on the pricey end of spectrum. In retrospect, I'd have prefered driving a few kms off Vai and tried something...

One Star – Truly Disappointing

Let me start with the positive: the service at Palm Beach Vai Restaurant was genuinely friendly. The staff was attentive and polite – that deserves recognition.

Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The food was simply awful. I ordered the dish called “Saures Free Lange Ramb” and was honestly shocked. The presentation strongly resembled dog food, and the meat quality was abysmal – mostly fat clinging to bone, tough, and sinewy. It was completely inedible.

To make matters worse, we didn’t even receive the customary complimentary dessert that other guests seemed to be getting. No explanation, no apology.

Overall, this was a terrible experience that we won’t forget anytime soon – but for all the wrong reasons. Absolutely not...
