Excellent awesome beach! Probably one of the best beach in Crete, if not in top 3 for sure! Subbed available, parking (3€), Wi-Fi, restaurant, takeaway, everything is there. Road to Vai beach may seem long but it’s great! We almost liked the driving (~2h) till the beach as much as the beach itself! If there are no sun beds available, you may find yourself under the beautiful palms that are surrounding the beach. Don’t forget to pack everything you need for snorkeling. It’s by far the best beach for fish watching. Clear water and a lot of fishes are to be found near the rocks. Because of the bad reviews, we went at this beach, in the last days of our journey in Crete, but I would have for sure visited again and again. On our next trip it will be one of the first choices:) Before this beach I’ve seen Elafonisi, Balos, Preveli, Voulisima, Agios Nikolaos, Matala, and some other small beaches in south.
