Kasseta the bar — Restaurant in Municipality of South Kynouria

We have been coming to Leonidio since 2018 for the amazing climbing & hospitality of the community. The only thing that could have made Leo more enjoyable was a good cocktail bar. We were very happy to find at our next visit in 2019 that Yannis had opened Kasseta. An outstanding bar with an excellent selection of single malt scotches & whiskeys. At last after a hard day of wrestling tufas I could have a Laphroaig or an old fashioned. We had not travelled to Leonidio since 2019 since the pandemic. This year we finally made it back. I was so happy to see that Kasseta had survived the pandemic. One of the unexpected pleasures this year was meeting Sofia who worked with Yannis when Kasseta was jammed on weekends & busy days and who managed the bar on her own on slower days. Sofia is delightful, funny and creative and makes Kasseta an even more enjoyable place to spend time. A bar with a very western european vibe. At night you can sit either inside, on the patio garden at the back or - the most popular seating area - the intimate rooftop terrace. The focus of this bar clearly is on cocktails, however they do offer other drinks with prices varying from 3 euro for a (big) glass of wine to 20 euro for a bottle; mid range.
