This place is amazing!! Sophie and Pericles - you ROCK. Thank you so much. The welcome, food, service, friendliness, ambience were all outstanding - if this is typical of Corfu, then Corfu is heaven. We caught an overnight ferry from Brindisi which docked at 0530 and then an 1h15 minute GreenBus (€2) into the mountains to Pentati. Sophie greeted us from the bus stop and took us to our AirBnB (Tara’s House) which she also manages (!!) - perfect location. We dropped our bags and ate a at the restaurant. Sophie and Pericles were funny, helpful and very welcoming. Good value cold beer and local food. My wife couldn’t travel far so we ate at Strofi most days. Some days Sophie would order for us - we were VERY happy with this. Lobster (amazing value), grilled and fried squid, salads and local dishes. Their mum in the kitchen Mrs. Eftihia is the best cook on the island. It is situated in a beautiful garden patio and allows you to experience an original Greek Corfiot menu and atmosphere. Highly recommend this place and its many favourite dishes on the menu from Sofrito(traditionally made beef fillets in a garlicky White sauce) and Pastitsada (traditionally made beef in a red sauce served with spaghetti)being my best to the grilled options which are the best quality meats I have tried on the island. The service is so friendly and welcoming. Each dish reflects the culture, and the typical flavours of Greece, with great portions and unique taste. Olive oil delicious, it was always given some bread as starter. Watermelon as an extra, which was so sweet and refreshing. There is no words to describe the experience of going to this restaurant regularly, the staff suggests the special dishes or any other alternative tastes that you might like.
