This place was a real revelation. I am an Italian, permanent resident in Athens for 40 years. Greek food is delicious, but when it comes to real Italian pizza or pasta...hmmmmm mediocre (apart from some pricey Italian restaurants). I tried out this restaurant a few months ago by chance (I live in the area) and was literally perplexed. First real Neapolitan style pizza in 40 years! Spaghetti carbonara with egg yoke and NOT with cream as in 99% of the cases here in Greece (which is not a "carbonara"). Service very friendly and attentive. It deserves 4 in absolute terms, but takes 5 stars in comparative terms. For where it is located and for what is around it, the food is authentic, the decor is outstanding. It's fresh, it's new, it's a new wind in this rackety old road connecting Old Town to New Artemis. Hands down the top 3 best Neapolitan style pizza I’ve ever had, even comparing the pizza in Italy (Rome, Bologna, Salerno, Almalfi, and other cities). I had the caprese salad and the Salsiccia Pizza. The dough for the pizza was flavourful, bouncy yet crunchy, and the sausage was out of this world, and the tomato base was impeccable. The whole combo was out of this world. I caught myself still nibbling on the left over crust after I finished my pizza. The service was great as well. 11/10. I would come back if ever back...
