O Kontos stou Rafogianni — Restaurant in Municipality of Syros and Ermoupoli

What a fantastic visit we had this evening - a wonderful setting, some incredible food and superb service too from two very cheery ladies!

We started with a dakos salad and enjoyed the saganaki ‘San Michali’, which was incredible. A large portion for what was only a starter but I could have eaten it three times over. Honestly, brilliant.

For our main meals, we had the kebab (lamb, chicken and pork - fantastic value at €9) and the enormous pork steak. It was much bigger than expected, but again, lovely. So full of flavour, so juicy and tender.

Although our time in Syros is short, we will definitely return before we leave - and I’m pretty sure we will order the very same meals again.

We came around 9pm as a family of three on a fairly windy evening. We were seated on the terrace where it was enjoyable sheltered and the views of the sea were still stunning. The service was great, friendly, very quick and effective and we were even offered complimentary desserts at the end. We shared a greek salad, tzatziki, saganaki (fried cheese), small fried fish (very big portion!) and the chicken with mastic sauce; all of it was very nice, fair priced and good portions. A very good Greek tavern with meat & fish menu. Located South of Syros island near to the seaside.. Azolimnos area consider one of the best place in Syros island. Very reasonable prices and very good service. The staff very freindly and ready to serve you at all times. Excellent food quality and very delicious. You can try Kalamari , Sardine, and greek cod.
