ORA baresto — Restaurant in Municipality of Syros and Ermoupoli

I recently visited this restaurant with two friends, and we were really looking forward to enjoying a meal with a nice view by the sea. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Despite the restaurant being almost empty (not high tourist season), the waiter refused to let us sit at a larger table with a great view, saying it was for six people, even though there were plenty of other tables available.

Instead, we were moved to a smaller table without any view, which really ruined the experience for us. I get that there are rules, but the restaurant was nearly empty, and the strictness felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. Bad service can really overshadow a nice location.

Besides the dissapointing service, the women's toilet had no light, nor had it any toilet paper. It's safe to say we won’t be...

I did not have a good experience. Firstly, when I asked a table for one person, the main guy waiter seemed not happy and he had to ask someone else. He allowed me, but I did not feel welcomed. The place was 30% occupied with customers.

I ordered a fried calamari, horta salad and fries. The calamari was so hard like hard rubber that I had to chew for ages to avoid choking.

I complained to the same guy and asked him to try it because he did not believe me. He refused to try and said, " we cooked tonnes of calamari today, and you are the first one to complain..." What a poor customer service.

I spoke to the lady when I was paying, who was very sweet and understable. I left an hour later, and the tables were 50%...

The coffee is really good there Update 2025: Extremely rude!!! If you are wearing your swimsuit (because the beach is there) they will ask you to put a t-shirt at 6pm, although the place is not posh at all 🤣 even in Mykonos they are more relaxed. It is just a tavernaki guys….

I saw your response, actually we were the ones who wore the shirt politely. But we left because we heard how rude you spoke to the lady with their son… they did not harass us. We left with our own will. And they left too of course. Also we noticed that only for men you asked to put a shirt… for the ladies it was Ok...
