Service here was terrible for us. We were treated like naughty schoolchildren upon arrival, gruffly made to stand and wait for 15 minutes watching several empty tables that we were explicitly not permitted to sit down at before the lady of the house deigned to review our application. I frankly would have left if there was any choice whatsoever in the local area. but there isn't. Similarly at the end of the meal, forget about a courtesy dessert. In fact, forget about your plates being taken away. We sat for a full 30 minutes at the end of our meal, and they never were. Our neighbours table hadn't been either, and they had left 30 minutes before us. It's hardly a budget place, so it's not what you expect/hope for.

But.....but......the food they cooked was excellent. The 'sponge salad', the crisp calamari, and the goat in the oven were all excellent, as was the house retsina. Also, the view and ambiance in general is lovely too with boats bobbing about in the harbour. It should be a 5 star place, but the service combination of a rude matriarch and a swarm of inexperienced teenaged waiters really...

You sit by the sea to eat baby goat in the oven. That’s it. That’s their speciality. Forget about the cliché of eating fish by the seashore. The meat is so succulent, leaving the bone effortlessly. It is served in generous portions accompanied by hand cut fries or rice. We added a Greek salad to our lunch and from the starters, a portion of fava, washing everything down with 2 beers. We paid €49.50. Excellent value for money if you consider also the polite service and the refreshing breeze under thick shadow of almyrikia trees around the small harbour. An experience to...

An old traditional family tavern in the most picturesque and refreshing spot of the island. All traditional plates are excellent, especially the imam (egg plant), the staffed vegetables, the keftedes (meat balls), the dolmadakia (wine leaves), the pasticio and the giant beans. Yet the most emblematic plate is the grilled goat with fries, made with exclusively local products, a recipe that Mrs Eleni masters to perfection, and to which I'm personally addicted.
