I will always remember Teréza. The food is amazing: you will feel like you are in their dining room. It is a perfect spot for lunch when exploring the villages or for after the hike down to the cove. But the family that runs it...they are the kindest and most generous people. My friend and I had just completed the hike down to Livada Cove and back. We arrived and found that the cafe was closing early due to the village celebrating its name-day festival. We were sad to miss out on the food, but very glad to have a post-hike beer. When we ordered our beers, the woman who runs the cafe insisted we also order food to-go and made recommendations to us. They were closing the cafe but still took one more order from us. We had the sausage, the horta, and some patates--and she even included some halva and a small loaf of bread! It was so good. But the story doesn't end there. As we were paying, my friend realized she had lost her small bag (containing her passport, credit cards, everything) during the hike back up. The owner then told us that her father would drive us back down to the cove to help us see if the bag was down there. He took us in his car all the way down and back. The bag wasn't there, but we were so grateful for the kindness and generosity of the family. Without us asking, they fed us when they were already closing and they helped us in a moment of need. We did find the bag the next morning on the trail, thankfully. We will always remember the family at Teréza, the good food, and the amazing hospitality they showed us. I wish them only good things in the future. Their kindness meant...
Read moreThis is one of the very few places left where a small grocery store also serves home made dishes; something very typical of Greek islands in the past years but now almost vanished. A family run place in a quiet, non touristic village with mama made food, smiley daughter in charge, very clean and decent. All produce used are locally grown. Don't expect a culinary experience, go there for the "feeling" and the cosy atmosphere, it's an unassuming place that still has an old-fashioned flavour. I give it 5 stars for this. PS. If you take the trekking path from Falatados to Myrsini, you end up right in front of the tavern, which elevates the...
Read moreWhat an amazing place. We are so happy that we discovered Tereza, her husband and super friendly daughters very early of our nine days stay on Tinos. We came back again and again as the food was always more than satisfying, fresh and cooked with love. Everything tasted super yummy, the daughter was very helpful with a great ability to speak English, explaining local dishes and provided recommendations. Thank you so much for this welcoming, warm and professional service - the amazing time we had in your place. The atmosphere is excellent. Sadly we are leaving, but will always remember Tereza as one big...
