Koubouris Tavern — Restaurant in Municipality of Tripoli

Usually, if we were in levidi, we ate there. But today's experience really made us very disappointed. Today is christmas day, we went there for lunch. The restaurant is fully packed. We ordered some beef steak, pork kontosouvli and bifteki. The food quality today is really around average. The thing that really ruined our lunch is smoking inside. You know now it is winter, so if somebody smoke inside, will make the air inside very bad. For me, i feel lack of oxygen, and can not breath. We had son with us, and because it is so bad, once i saw the people smoke around us, i have to complained to the restaurant, and restaurant will stop them smoking. I just dont understand those people who smoke inside, they dont respect the other people around them? They dont care about others even you can see their own small kids were just sitting next to them? If they want to smoke, they should just GET OUT OF THE RESTAURANT AND...

An excellent choice in Levidi and generally in the area nearby! The villages of Arcadia have really grown touristicly, and several "tourist trap" restaurants have opened. Koubouris tavern is not one of them! A great place with traditional dishes! The food is supplied locally as we were told by the waitor and each dish was delicious. I do recommend tasting pork stakes (brizolakia) and of course lamb chops! The starters were also tasty and the salad, too! Το κατάστημα το γνωρίζω χρόνια, καθώς είναι η στάνταρ επιλογή για ψητά και delivery αν μείνεις στο Λεβίδι, καθώς και περνώντας από την 111. Έχω δοκιμάσει πολλές φορές σουβλάκια και σούβλας, και πριν αρκετά χρόνια και τυλιχτά delivery, τα οποία δε ξέρω αν έχει ακόμα. Όλα οκ χωρίς να είναι κάτι φοβερό, χώρος λίγο βαρύς για τα γούστα μου.

Στο αρνητικό τώρα. Σάββατο 9 το βράδυ, γουρνοπούλα takeaway. Κόσμος και κίνηση στο μαγαζί, την είδα στο θερμοθάλαμο, φαινόταν ωραία, την πήρα χωρίς δεύτερη σκέψη και πήγα στο σπίτι 10 λεπτά μακριά για να τη φάω. Το 20ρικάκι το τσίμπησε μια αγενέστατη κυρία στο ταμείο, χωρίς απόδειξη φυσικά, αλλά αυτό είναι μηδαμινής σημασίας προκειμένου να φάω καλή γουρνοπούλα.

Το πρόβλημα είναι ότι η γουρνοπούλα ήταν σε θερμοκρασία δωματίου. Ο θερμοθάλαμος ήταν απλά βιτρίνα. Άκουσα ότι δικαιολογία μπορεί να φανταστεί κανείς, με κυριότερη το "εμείς έτσι κάνουμε εδώ και 50 χρόνια". Ψήνεται 10 ώρες, πιάνει 500 βαθμούς, αν τη βάλουμε στο θερμοθάλαμο θα ξεραθεί και δε θα είναι ωραία, πως θα την πουλήσω αν ξεραθεί, βγήκε πριν 3 ώρες και τώρα άρχισε να παγώνει και διάφορα άλλα. Λες και το Σάββατο βγάζουν μια φορά γουρνοπούλα στις 18:00 το απόγευμα, που δεν είναι ώρα ούτε μεσημεριανού ούτε βραδινού. Προφανώς την έβγαλαν το μεσημέρι και από τότε έμεινε έτσι. Όλα μου τα είπαν εκτός από το φέρε τη πίσω να σου επιστρέψουμε τα λεφτά.

Με αυτά τα πράγματα δε παίζουμε, το μαγειρεμένο φαγητό διατηρείται είτε σε ψυγείο, είτε σε θερμοθάλαμο. Καλύτερα ξεραμένη γουρνοπούλα παρά...
