After a promising start,(they picked us up from our apartment as no taxis) unfortunately this is the only positive ... We were left standing at the entrance for 5 minutes and had to ask where we were sitting, finally given a table with a nice view...no one came over for 20 minutes , just walked past and ignored us, had to ask for a drink, had to ask for the menu, again ignored, food was average at best and some of the chicken was pink. We have never had service so poor, completely ignored us. Ten minutes before we finished eating a group of around 6 people came in who they obviously knew , the group then stared at us the whole time, we had literally just put our knives and forks down and a waiter asked us to move to another table.....they hadn't even cleared the plates, the group then took our table and didn't seem bothered about our dirty plates and glasses ,think it was the owner came out and sat with them, all laughing..... Not offered desserts or any further drinks. Had to go in to pay the bill. Just appalled at how we were treated. AVOID
In response You saw the person ask us to move, if you knew it was not a member of your staff you should have intervened. How were we to know ....how is that our fault...
It doesn't change the fact we were ignored all night. No apology on the night. You took our money and not even a thankyou. Not the way to run...
Read moreGreat place to enjoy the local cuisine, with fresh ingredients from the area. Prices are reasonable and the view is breathtaking. Definitely a place to see the sunset. Contrary to the restaurants in the Stoupa beach, this place is spacious and definitely not packed with tables one on top of the other to maximize customers per squared meter. The service is great and there are plenty of options for vegetarians and meat lovers. The waiter (Nikos) made us feel welcomed and he was happy to go through the dishes that were not in the menu. We went there with a small (2.5year old) kid, and he really enjoyed the food, the space, and the beautiful colours of the sunset. Nikos offered to bring some crayons and paper for our little one. I rarely write reviews, but I fee I should support their effort. I suggest you go there right before the sunset, as this is part of...
Read moreWe visited twice within a week. The owner/server is friendly and attentive and offers delicious specials to augment the extensive menu. We ate the owner’s home-produced olive oil, drank local Oyzo and every meal was finished off with a freebie home-cooked dessert. The restaurant is perched on the hillside overlooking Stoupa and enjoys sublime sunsets. This is exactly the sort of authentic Mani restaurant experience we were...
