Hello Michelin! Remezzo should be on your list for a visit! Once in awhile you come across a gem of a place like Remezzo in an out of the way place. We were in Sigri for two nights. Our first night they were fully booked so we made a reservation for the next night. My first observation was about two meters from the front door, where there was a bench with a sign upon which there was written “smoke here.” Upon entering, there were no ash trays on the tables even though the tables are outdoors, and thus technically smoking allowed. This was a pleasant surprise. Too many of our meals in Greece have been degraded by nearby patrons smoking before, during and after their meals, with absolutely no regard for others. One of our party has asthma issues and struggles with lung pain when smokers light up near us. More appalling is the number of times we’ve seen parents smoking with their small children at the table. Kudos to Remezzo for discouraging smoking and placing the emphasis on where it should be: the phenomenal food.

Remezzo is a seafood place on a bluff with the outdoor seating overlooking a scenic bay. The menu is replete with fresh seafood choices that makes it difficult to choose. We ordered several dishes and each was easily of a quality found in some of the highest end restaurants. As for prices, we don’t know how they provide top notch dishes at such reasonable prices. This is a tremendous value for the quality of the seafood. We spent approximately 65 Euros for two, where for the equivalent menu and venue elsewhere, we have spent upwards of 200 Euros. Unfortunately we had a very bad first vist. The staff to include management were very arrogant. It seems because they are busy they do not care to lose some customers. We were a party of three and even though there were free tables for four or more we were given a table for two with a side chair. When we asked to move to one of them they refused to do it. We we forced to order food spaced out so that it fit on the table. The grilled octopus was tough and tastless loaded with salt. Etc. Covid 19 precautions we not adhered to by the staff.
