Wrong order, Microwaved food.

The only positive thing about this place during my visit was that the food arrived very quickly. 5 minutes after order to be exact. This caused a bit of concern however, since I ordered one oven-baked pasta dish with tomato sauce and one moussaka, both dishes that usually require a bit more time than that. The microwave had done a poor job of heating the dishes thoroughly. Further, there was no sign of the ovenbaked pastadish with tomato sauce that I ordered. Instead, a bowl of pre cooked, plain spaghetti was presented to me. I asked them about this, and was 5 minutes later presented with the very same pasta with some tomato sauce on top. To my disappointment, it was also topped with meat. Something I explicitly stated I did not want in my dish and usually not included in your usual pasta napolitana.

Sure, their english might not have been up to date. But to get an order wrong twice although I clearly pointed at the dish on the menu during my order and serve microwaved food isn't a great way to ensure a pleasant experience for...

A wonderful Greek cusine experience around Vatera region in beautiful Lesvos. In Vatera, even though all restaurants and braserries are right behind the cristal clear Aegean Sea, the menus largely consist of foods from continental Greek/Ottoman cusine (Lamb, chicken, pork, souvlakis, etc...) and strangely the seafood is not that common. Zouros is one of the few fresh seafood serving places around and one of the best in all over the island. We especially recommend wild squids hunted a few hours ago nearby and the best Tzatiki in town. As a Turkish national, I can honestly admit that real Ottoman Tzatiki (Cacık in Turkish) is still protected by the talented hands of Greek chefs and moms. In Turkey, Cacık is served like a bland soup without garlic and herbs. The real taste is long forgotten with the passing away grandmas one by one. What a shame!
