A great, laid back restaurant that serves also as the bar for the beach (free umbrellas and sunbeds provided you have something from the bar). We've had a great selection of vegan mezedes - as everywhere in Greece, while they're usually not marked as vegan, they in fact are! Melitzanosalata (smoked/grilled aubergine dip) to die for, but boiled greens (horta), lettuce and avocado salad grilled mushrooms and other choices were also excellent. Waiters in Greece are like a deer staring at headlights of an oncoming car. They are lost. Simple things like expecting a napkin when you are served food or asking for a drink three times over only to get an excuse and be told to wait. This is one of the cleanest parts of town. Water is clean. Avoid other areas of Xykokastro as passing ships often unload certain liquids and they collect and even form slicks along the beaches in the main...

Worst experience. We had cold food served to us, as fresh. Really bad service with them almost arguing over our heads. Waited over 20 minutes for a coke, with no glass. Mushrooms kinda burned, anchovy marinated was different taste every piece. Worst of all......the stray cats that normally find some food in the small ports (just below the tavern) were pushed away by throwing WATER ON THEM SMALL KITTENS...
